I leave the system set to Full Auto, but if a dust cloud is approaching, I can just hit the recirc button. Then when the cloud passes I can hit the button again for outside air. Toyota used to have a button option for 100% recirc called "filter" or similar names that would operate for 3 min or so. But I haven't seen that for some years.
