I tried removing the CMOS battery (many times), because doing so would allow me to reach bios, where I tried setting the ram at various speeds. When you load/activate XMP, the BIOS applies the values of the XMP profile, i.e. frequency, timings, voltage and perhaps sub-timings, in your case DDR4-3200 with a voltage of 1.35 Volts. It works, measures correctly and it's hard to spoof especially when validated, which this doesn't need. Remember to double the reported clock rate for DDR - double data rate - RAM. Voltage is at 1.35. I click... WebbI did this at the same time I reseated the ram so I figured it was reseating the RAM that did it but maybe it was this. Instead of going to 3200 right away, go in as small increments as you can. Set 2133, be sure that boots. Restart then go in the next smallest increment, 2400 for me not sure if asrock is different. Just be sure it boots each time.

WebbEnable it. 2133 is the stock speed, 3600 will be a predefined overclock profile for it. Pick that profile to get it to run at the rated speed. Overclocking RAM using an XMP/DOCP setting doesn't damage it. Your CPU performance can increase significantly by getting the RAM to run at the high speed.
