The first performance of the music took place at the 2002 RNCM International Wind Festival, with the premiere of the dance version at Pyramid in November 2002. The North Cheshire Wind Orchestra (NCWO) is a symphonic wind orchestra based in Warrington, England. The membership of around 40 players is drawn from throughout the North West of England, many of whom travel considerable distances to rehearsals. Whilst a number of members make their living from music, the group is essentially non-professional.
