You could try gathering plants (or harvesting fruit trees if you have stepladders) to get things to brew. For a regular supply, you will get a farm going.

Your brewer uses a stack of brewable plants to brew, and will produce 5 units of booze per plant in the stack: however much alcohol that is, it will take up 1 barrel. Weird, but that's how it works! #4
