WebMay 9, 2024 · As a result of legislation approved in 2024, certain retirees in Plan 1 of the Public Employees’ Retirement System and Plan 1 of the Teachers’ Retirement System (PERS 1 and TRS 1) will receive a one-time benefit increase in July of this year. WebERS and TRS retirees will receive a bonus of $2 per month of service. The bonus will be paid as a separate payment by the end of April, if not sooner. The bonus will be paid in the same manner as the monthly retirement benefit: if the monthly benefit is a direct deposit, then the bonus will be a separate direct deposit.
